The Community String Orchestra of the Adirondacks is a non-profit organization for musicians and by musicians of all ages and abilities. Our work strives to bring string musicians together and to bring string music to the local communities of the northern Adirondack region.
Our community orchestra was founded by Esther Rogers Baker in October, 2017.
ESTHER ROGERS BAKER
Esther Rogers Baker is a strings teacher in Keene Central School and offers private instruction to musicians throughout the North Country.
Esther is a classically trained cellist who plays experimental and contemporary music, has a passion for Bach and traditional chamber music, and enjoys improvising with musicians and artists from different backgrounds and genres. In addition to traditional performance, Esther is an innovative leader who asks questions about process, intent, and progress.
